"Reality Check" an episode from This American Life

In this episode of This American Life a man clones his best bull. He paid lots of money to clone his bull Chance. When the clone named Second Chance turns two he attacks the man. The man forgives the bull and tries to treat him like the real bull Chance. Then the worst happens again when Second Chance attacks the man a second time. The man is rushed to the hospital with a broken arm. When he gets home he forgives the bull again but, is more cautious now.

Kids and Money

The documentary "Kids and Money" was about kids who are always buying things to fit in at school. There were even poor kids who spent more than they could afford on clothes so that they could look rich and fit in with the "cool kids". The documentary shows how materialistic most American teenagers are.

In this article Vendela Vida talks about how young Hispanic girls throw a huge party when they become a woman. This huge party is called a Quinceanera and the girls have the party when they turn 15, they are considered women at the age of 15. Families spend loads of money to throw their daughters these huge extravaganzas.

Alison is a teenager who is insecure about her body because she thinks she is too skinny. When her friends complain about their bodies she tries to join in because she doesnt like her body either but, her friends exclude her because they don't understand what she is feeling. Her friends in a way are jealous of her because they want to be skinny like her.

"My Brown Eyes" by Alexander Amador

This story written by Alexander Amador shows us what it is like to live around the gang life. Alexander isn't in a gang but the gang takes care of him because they are like family to him.Alexander shows us that eventhough you live in a bad neighborhood that doesn't mean that you have to get involved with gangs or anything like that. Alexander wants to do better for his family and move away from his neighborhood so that he can have a chance at a brighter future.
